Scarecrow Competition Rules

1. Your scarecrow must be environmentally friendly and weather proof.

2. Scarecrows must be at least, but not limited to, 1.5m tall/long

3. Scarecrows must be handmade and not made in a factory or warehouse or bought in a retail or wholesale setting. Items you can use are:

  • old jewellery

  • old clothes

  • papier-mâché

  • fabric

  • carpet

  • old pillows & cushions

  • old hats

  • empty tins & cans

  • old shoes and trainers

  • twine

  • ribbon

  • cotton thread

  • wool

  • string

  • vegetables

  • plant materials

  • feathers

Items not permitted:

4. All scarecrows must arrive on site by 11am and will be placed around the arena

5. A 50p entry fee must be paid on the day.

6. Judging will take place at 2:30pm.

7. Prizes will be awarded on stage after 4:30pm
