CHARITIES SUPPORTED

The major charity soon to be listed below will be nominated to receive two thirds of all proceeds raised from the fête based on their dedication and hard work towards protecting the amazing biodiversity which is a necessary part of life on earth.

Each year the Hampton Hill Association will also nominate a different local charity to support. The first year we have chosen the Greenwood Centre VCG. Charity No. 270916

The Greenwood Centre is the home of The Hampton & Hampton Hill Voluntary Care Group (VCG) which was started by local people in 1974 to be a good neighbour to residents of our area who may suffer social isolation through infirmity, poor mobility or any other reason.

After more than 30 years they continue the aim of their founders in providing help and support to those in need, complementing statutory services and those available from other providers who we work closely with.

Their founders' objectives were to attack deprivation and social isolation wherever they occurred in Hampton & Hampton Hill and to encourage neighbourliness and self-help.
